Too many people play Minecraft just for the grinding and then forget that it’s really about building and being creative
Or turning Minecraft into Satisfactory with all these auto farms
Reply to this comment if you like boys
@BLET_MadYapper thats what makes it fun for some people, its just annoying when you have to grind for things whenever you want to build something
Our SMP lasted for 2 years. Good old times
same
wow
dang mine lasted 5 or 6 years it ended due to college stuff
The problem isn’t that “Minecraft is a sandbox, your bored because your playing it wrong” or “there’s not enough content” because modded servers are just as common as non-modded, but the 2 week rule still applies for a simple reason: we play this game a lot. It’s over 10 years old and is the most popular video game in the world. The problem is we know this game extremely well, especially what we enjoy about, so we just do that. When you play your 100+ world of MC, you can obviously see how it gets repetitive.<br><br>Edit: wow, lotta likes. Anyhow, for those saying “it’s not the most popular game”, im referencing its sales numbers. It’s the number 1 most sold game on the planet, other FtP games and such might be popular, but Minecraft beat Tetris. Soooo
I agree I feel discovery is one of the things that makes games fun and after youve played a game for 10 years there isn’t much that you haven’t seen or don’t know about
That's why mods can be so much fun if you DON'T look up how everything in it works
@uiinpui Oh yeah that's definitely something I'm guilty of when playing new games
It’s also just burnout. Over time, and especially during quarantine, most of us probably plays for hours each day. Doing that for over a year is not good, and really can cause burnout, as you feel like you’ve done everything a million times.
Why is there not any comments saying how this is so true 😂
A bit true, but here is always new stuff to do. Like making lots of farms or staues or cities or collecting mobs. But yeah that is a part of it.
I agree…
bruh in two weeks my friends wouldn't even have full diamond gear 💀
in two weeks it would be unlikely for me to have a nether portal
For real 😂
you guys get diamonds?
This is why I like large expansive modpacks like RLCraft.<br><br>The game becomes new, alive with more things to explore, to do. It becomes filled with mystery and intriguing things to discover!
My biggest problem with big mod packs is that it isn’t fun to look up and repeat every single step of the way
This is my issue with those modpacks, there's too much to do
@kami761 there are a lot of smaller modpackd in modrinth
In all fairness the game does get rather repetitive after one or two in-depth playthroughs. Only difference you can really make is your approach to building, but that’s not for everyone, the technical/gameplay aspects do get pretty repetitive at some point.<br><br>Mods, of course, are a lovely solution.
in addition to that, if you and your friends are all playing the game for the "technical/gameplay aspects" (good way to put it) then its likely that minecraft isnt the game for you, quite simply. i myself dont know any technical/gameplay oriented multiplayer games because i dont enjoy them but they certainly exist, and if thats more your jam it could be better for your group than unmodded minecraft, no matter how nostalgic it is.
@The_Real_Sworder My personal form of gameplay is arranging a semi-large server with friends, and building close to each other, maybe a large island. Connecting bases with roads and rails, building infrastructure, town halls, shopping areas, parks, whatever to create a fun town feeling where everyone is constantly nearby…<br><br>I invest a lot of time to make it as fun as possible as an admin and all, but sadly, most people get bored within at most a month or two…
I agree with the mods. I play almost only modded minecraft now with shaders and I can barely get myself to play vanilla anymore. It's sad but mods just make the game awesome
Anarchy servers:I'm ending my players' whole career
this just got recommended 2 yrs later for me
My tip would be to focus on expansion, build bigger rooms, larger houses, useless but cool spots, anything can be fun, and if you need to you could run it as quest to build it, so you still feel like you're doing something
Or just use mods lmao
@Warcriminalwastaken I'm personally not a big fan of mods, i prefer the vanilla experience of the game
@brazilianman1667Well congratulations, you are most definitely the first person on the entirety of the Earth to prefer vanilla
Role-playing and storytelling is another way of solving this. The dream smp was a popular example of this, but there's also Stoneworks, empires, and to an extent even hermitcraft and life smp incorporate storytelling to create their own fun.
Dreamsmp isint realy for the fun near the end it was just for the money and clout
Cbsmp might be good though
I just rp with friends
Our SMP lasted for about 3 months and we had gigantic bases but my friend deleted it 😭
I always feel left in the dust. After the dragon falls, everyone just is done.<br>No one wants to make cool builds, just do stuff , explore, or dig. Miss those days.
I felt that.. the last time i played minecraft with irl friends 2 of them got full enchanted diamond gear on the second day, followed up with beating the dragon. Since then, they only played for a week more to try redstone in their bases before stopping because "they got bored" after rushing everything.
killing the dragon is when the game starts for me LMAO I like getting that over with before going crazy with building, some people don’t play for the sandbox aspect tho
I’m a builder and have an underwater base and a few other builds around my singleplayer server. I don’t really care about 100% the game but if you want, I can join your server
Ive been building ships with full interior since 2018. It really feels rewarding when you finish a big build.
It’s like Legos
Cool!
Nice
People are too uncreative for Minecraft. They dont realize the true range of different things you can do in it. You can build literally anything including everything. Build an automatic warden farm, build a giant underwater city around an ocean monument with a huge glass dome over it and put villagers there! Do something, anything, because you can.
The problem is, if u already build a lot of things. This game is a sanbox and only sandboxy thing it has is building. You can't really do anything else
@cebulak6695you’re kinda just what the OP was describing. “Eh we done enough leave it there nothing more.”
In the end, it’s all just building, and building, and more building while grinding for resources to build more
Him: "We need to talk about 2 types of servers"<br>Also him: <b>talks about only one of them</b>
Guys, just try to get all advancements and race it w/ friends
Thats a good idea, i find world's with mini games and competitions are more popular and alive.
Getting all advancements is super underrated, its genuinely pretty fun
Thats actually kinda a bad idea because after that you will probably hate the game
"learn redstone" i simply can't comprehend what the hell a comparator is
Man used the long time Minecraft trailer in the background... I haven't had so many emotions in just one minute.
soy boy
Lets go to a place, where everything is made out of blocks.
As a builder and a redstoner, I feel like we never run out of things to do lol, we might get bored or just not want to play, but we'll never run out of things to do
Yeah I used to only build then I was like hey I should learn redstone now I know how to build a shulker farm and 4x4 piston door off the top of my head then I learned parkour and good movement then I learned clutches then PvP I’d say I’m all around a good Minecraft player I’m not the best at speedrunning but I can beat the game in 30 minutes lmao so i literally have something to do always I can PvP build make a new redstone machine off the top of my head just for fun haha I think the problem with some people is they stop at 1 or 2 things like they get good at PvP and redstone and are like meh I don’t wanna do anything else when they should try new things like I’m learning about commands right now and I’m trying to learn how to make mods and stuff for the game maybe you could create fan made music disc like others who knows?<br><br><br><br>(Sry for the huge paragraph lmao I’m just sayin aslo when I say I’m really good at PvP I’m not saying I’m like sharpness lvl good or dream lvl good haha but I could give a good fight I’d think atleast that’s what I like to say lmao)
